Just Megan opens with a zip line and ends on a seashore. Both points of transition from the solid and predictable to the wild and uncertain.
The good news is, God is there in both—ready to carry us through pathless places and enable us to walk on water into an abundant life.
Publishing my first book was like stepping off that shore to follow Jesus across the big, beautiful sea, full of hopes and adventure. The first year of that journey proved wilder than I envisioned. The exhilaration of book launch, the riptide of my mom’s cancer diagnosis, the waves of support from my family and friends and community, the hurricane of more health issues, the fun and challenge of trying new ways to reach readers, the honor of winning a prestigious book award, the stories of how this book has touched people …
I couldn’t have foreseen the storms. But I also couldn’t have foreseen the ways God has blessed and used this book to give people joy and inspire them to go deeper in their own walk with Jesus.
That’s what I love most about this adventure: seeing this humble but much-labored-over book in someone’s hands and hearing how it moved them to press into Jesus.
The best part?
The journey isn’t over. 💙
